Tracks by: Robyn Davidson
A memoir of a two thousand mile trip from Alice Springs to the Western Coast of Australia, traveled on foot in the 1970's. Robyn Davidson was from the east coast and traveled to Alice Springs by train. When she arrived, she had only her dog, some clothes, a couple dollars, and a dream. Over the next few years, Robyn sought out camels, learned to train and care for them, gathered and crafted necessary gear, tools, and knowledge of the desert in order to make the trip to the coast. A unique account of an unbelievable journey across practically untouched land; Tracks is an inspiring story about what can be accomplished with the will of the human spirit. The memoir was adapted into a movie in 2014.
